Seva Sinchana Foundation is a humble yet powerful initiative born in the heart of Kundapura with a vision to bring light where there is darkness and hope where there is despair.
The very first step was symbolic and meaningful — it began with a simple contribution of small amount offered as a gesture of faith and selfless dedication. What started as a small act soon transformed into a collective movement, inspiring many hearts to come together for a greater cause.
The name Seva Sinchana itself reflects its essence: sowing the seeds of service and nurturing them with compassion, dedication and selflessness until they bloom into meaningful change.
As a Kannada saying beautifully puts it: “ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡಿದಾಗ ಮಾತ್ರ ಬದುಕು ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ.” (Life becomes meaningful only through service.)
History of Our Foundation
The Foundation began its journey with just 100 rupees:
Seva Sinchana Foundation, Kundapura was established in 2022 by a group of like-minded individuals dedicated to social service in the coastal town of Kundapur, the homeland of Kundagannada in Kadalanagari.
The movement was guided and inspired by the motivation and appreciation words by Sri Arun Bhat Bhat A. S. and Sri Ramachandra Acharya; who were then NSS officers of Bhandarkar’s Arts and Science College, Kundapura.
On 17th July 2022, Mr. Arun Bhat Bhat A. S. – the NSS Officer (Present Honorable Senior Advisor of Seva Sinchana Foundation), wished and awarded Rs. 100/- to their students Mr. Kiran Kumar G.S. (Present “Karnataka Seva Ratna” Silver Medal State Awardee) and Ms. Sowjanya Shetty for their selfless service and this lead to establish commence social activities in better perspective through Seva Sinchana Foundation.
On that memorable day, a special pooja was performed in the divine presence of Sri Kundeshwara, the presiding deity of Kundapur. Same day in the evening, the formal inauguration of Seva Sinchana Foundation was held under the guidance of the organization’s senior advisors, Sri Arun Bhat Bhat A. S and Sri Ramachandra Acharya. Since then, 17th July is celebrated as the Foundation Day of Seva Sinchana Foundation.
